About Climate Stories Collaborative

The Climate Stories Collaborative at App State is our response to the growing call for more transdisciplinary and creative approaches to climate change communication. Our mission is to grow the capacity of faculty and students to be more creative and compelling climate storytellers in order to engage more people in meaningful climate conversation and action.

A small group of faculty founded the Collaborative in 2017, inspired by a visit to our campus by Climate Narrative Project leader Jeff Biggers. We have since grown to engage more than 100 faculty members representing at least 30 academic programs, and our programs have engaged thousands of students and other members of our campus and broader community.
